Special performance of airport fire truck
1) Climbing performance
The climbing performance of airport fire engines is required in GA 39-2016 fire requirements and test methods for fire engines. The full load climbing gradient of airport vehicles shall not be less than 50%, and they shall Park reliably on a 50% ramp. Airport cars should be able to climb
40% of the ramp and can be sprayed with roof cannon while climbing. The parking brake of the airport car shall be applied in both the up and down directions on a 50% slope to check whether the car is parked reliably. Climb the airport fire engine to the roof from the bottom of 50% slope, and it is not allowed to rush the slope. Figure 10-22 shows the climbing performance test of airport vehicles.

2) Off road performance
The off-road performance of airport fire engines is also required in GA 392016 fire requirements and test methods for fire engines. The approach angle of airport vehicles shall not be less than 25 ° and the departure angle shall not be less than 25 °. The minimum ground clearance shall not be less than 270 mm. When any wheel of the fire truck drives onto the 300 mm high platform, other wheels shall not leave the ground. Figure 10-23 shows the off-road performance test of 300 mm high platform of airport fire truck. Especially for the airport fire truck refitted with commercial off-road chassis, because the rear axle adopts the non independent suspension design with double axles, and the runout of one wheel affects the runout of adjacent left and right wheels and front and rear wheels, when refitting the airport fire truck with commercial off-road chassis, we must pay attention to the influence of the rear wheel wheelbase on the off-road performance of 300 mm high platform.
